December 1, 2017 marks the 95th anniversary of
New Bern’s Great Fire of ’22.

Dedication CeremonyOn that day we invite you to join us in making history once more with two very special events at the New Bern Firemen’s Museum

  • Dedication of our new Bell Tower and Honor Garden on the corner of Broad and Hancock Streets, an inspiring program with the traditional bell ringing ceremony and the Greenville Public Safety Pipes and Drums.
  • Ribbon Cutting for the newly renovated first and second floors of The New Bern Firemen’s Museum at 420 Broad Street.

We are excited about our new Museum and Honor Garden and we think you will be, too.

Please join us on Friday, December 1 at 1 p.m. for the Bell Tower and Honor Garden dedication and the Museum ribbon cutting immediately following.

2017 Dedication Ceremony Supporters and Charter Members

On Friday, December 1st, New Bern Firemen’s Museum dedicated the bell tower located on the lawn next to the Museum. A lot of love, hard work and dedication has gone into the Firemen’s Museum, with the end result being a fantastic tribute our Firefighters past and present. Thank you everyone who’s made this project possible!

The Friends of the Firemen’s Museum appreciate the support and this post by the City of New Bern Fire Department! Great pictures of the Grand Opening of the 2nd Floor.
